We provide comfort
baskets to local women and men who are fighting the battle against cancer. By
networking with local cancer treatment centers, pharmaceutical
representatives and local doctors, we are able to obtain the newest
creams, mouth care and lip treatments on the market. Our baskets include a
recipe book written for cancer patients as well as many inspirational
items. If the woman needs a wig, a gift certificate is included so they
may have one custom made.
When battling cancer, even on "good days" the mirror will give a woman a
painful reminder of their struggle. Our basic goal is to make sure they
realize they are not alone and to provide some sense of normalcy during
this difficult time, even if only cosmetic. |
